AI drafts that still sound like you
The single most common complaint about every AI writing tool is the same one: it doesn't sound like me. Sudowrite's prose gets called bland and clichéd. NovelCrafter's gets called repetitive and overwritten. Generic ChatGPT needs constant re-prompting and still drifts. So you rewrite the output — and the rewriting is what erases the time the AI was supposed to save.
What we're building
Upload two or three chapters of your own work. The tool builds a voice profile from them, then drafts, continues, or rewrites passages in that voice — with a visible voice-match check on every output. That's the whole product. No agent team, no plot generator, no story bible.
Why this might not ship
We killed our last module after a blind test said readers preferred the competition. We published that result rather than quietly shelving it, and we're running this one the same way — the test comes before the build.
The bar this has to clear:
At least ten real authors judge blind edits to their own manuscripts, comparing our technique against plain Claude prompted with the same sample chapters. Our technique has to win by a margin that isn't statistical noise, and at least half the outputs have to pass the only question that matters: would you publish this as yours?
If it doesn't clear that bar by 31 August 2026, we write up why and stop. You'll get that email either way.
The comparison is deliberately unfair to us. We're not measuring against Sudowrite — we're measuring against what a skeptical writer actually tries first: a frontier model, prompted with the same chapters, for twenty dollars a month. If we can't beat that blind, there is no product here and you shouldn't pay for one.

Who this is for
Ghostwriters first. Matching a client's voice is the job you already bill for, which makes a tool that does it a business expense rather than a hobby subscription. Prolific indie authors second — romance and serial writers whose AI drafts currently need a voice pass before they're usable.
What this is not
It is not "write like Stephen King." It works on your voice, or a client's voice you're authorised to write in, from samples you own. We won't build the other thing, and samples you share never train anything.
